candles

I think aside from my sister, I don't know anyone in the world who doesn't love candles. I have them in almost every single room in my home, and this time of the year, I find that candles add a little something extra special and make those winter months even cozier. I find candles to be warm and inviting and if you stop in at my house at any given time during the fall and winter months, you'll definitely find candles burning in at least one room if not several.

This year for Christmas my mother gave me the most beautiful sconces that look wonderful in my entryway on each side of my mirror. I'd been wanting something to go on either side of the mirror for quite some time and wasn't exactly sure what I wanted, but when I saw Luca Bella Homeā„¢ Marissa Set of 2 Tealight Sconces, I knew exactly where I'd put them. Mom knows how much I love candles and I asked her where she'd bought them because I also wanted a set for the porch outside. She said she'd found them for a great price at Purple Rose Candles & Gifts whose online store can be found at www.purplerosecandlesandgifts.com. Purple Rose Candles & Gifts is her favorite place for ordering candles online, and when she saw the sconces she thought of me.

Mom is so thoughtful, and she knows my taste in candles and everything else so well, that she knew I would fall in love with this beautiful gift. They look so elegant in my entry hall, and since we are hosting the New Year's Eve bash at our home this year, I'll be burning candles in them as everyone arrives. I think that I still have a few mulberry candles that I haven't burned and that way when people enter, they'll have the fresh scent of mulberry that I adore so much.

This coming year, my husband I plan on enclosing the porch and making a lounge room out of it. We're going to enclose it with glass, which will have windows that can be opened. I'm not looking forward to having to clean them, but I think I'll probably just hire someone to do that. I can see myself spending a lot of time out there in the summer reading and enjoying the afternoons. 2010 is going to be a great year, and I look forward to all the surprises it brings.
