candles, flameless candles This about to be the second Holiday season I have been through living in Southern California. There is lots of spirit around the little community I live. One of my roommate’s friends grew up in the area so she knows all of the annual events someone like me would never find about if it wasn’t for accident. Apparently, there is a Christmas lights and candles parade starting next week. It takes place at a local park, is free to the public and when there, drivers are supposed to turn their radios to a certain station to hear some holiday music.

It sounds like a lot of fun. Christmas lights really are one of my favorite holiday decorations. There is something spectacular about them. I l have left a strand hanging around my bedroom ceiling since last year. At the moment, our apartment has some real and flameless candles set up amongst the little Christmas tree, lights and stockings. We don’t light the real candles to stay safe but they are still nice to look at. It will be cool to see hundreds of lit candles and Christmas lights next week during the park parade.
