Sometimes people give me candles as gifts. Though I don’t mind this I actually prefer to purchase my own candles. The reason for this is that other people might not buy me the kind of scented candles I like best. I generally prefer candles that smell of wood or spices, especially during the fall and winter months. Don’t get me wrong, I still use all of the candles that are given to me as gifts. They come in very handy when I want to eliminate certain odors or freshen up a room before inviting guests to my home. Yet I still have favorite scents and those are the ones that I buy when I shop for candles online. I suppose we all have our favorite smells when it comes to candles, perfume, cologne or anything else that has a fragrance. It is these differences of opinion that make us who we are. When I visit other people I often smell the candles in their home to find out more about them and their personal taste. I find that these differences between people keep life interesting.
