When I prepare for a romantic evening with my husband in the comfort of our home I use lots of candles. I like the ambiance that a candle gives my living space. My husband gets a clue very quickly about what the night is going to be about when he walks in the door to a dimly candle lit room.

I will make a light dinner with the foods my husband likes most and serve it to him at a well decorated dining room table. I like to use the good china and crystal to emphasize the occasion. I place a candle here and a candle there and then even more are scattered about the room. I find that to be such a romantic setting.

When the meal is done we may retire to the back porch for an after dinner cocktail. There on the porch we have a double sized well padded lounge chair. I will have placed and lit a candle on either side of the lounge chair as well as here and there in the back patio area. It is very romantic indeed!
